Owner,
Licensed Optician
Since 1984, Eye Designs of Westchester in Scarsdale has
been servicing the eye care needs of the community. I
had a vision to bring quality and fashionable eye wear
to the suburbs, after having worked in a high end
optical boutique in Manhattan. I am a New York State
licensed ophthalmic dispenser as well as a member of the
American Board of Opticianry, Fellow National Academy of
Opticians and the Opticians Association of America. I
take pride in the fact that I see patients by
appointment to help them select a frame for a perfect
look, as well as the proper lens for their visual needs.
In 1999 Eye Designs of Armonk opened to take my winning
philosophy to service Northern Westchester. After 24
years in business I am proud of my reputation. I feel
that you really have to love what you do, and get to
know the people that you service to be successful.
Service and quality are my number one priorities and
customers will return year after year.

Therapeutic Optometrist/Contact Lens Specialist
Dr.
Ellen Cutler has been with
eye designs for over 18 years, providing
comprehensive eye care to our community. Her approach
has always been to get to know her patients, learn about
their specific needs, and address those needs with any
combination of spectacles, contact lenses, or laser
vision correction.
She especially enjoys fitting first time contact lens
wearers whether it’s a teenager or an adult who hasn’t
tried them in years. New contact lens technology allows
almost anyone a chance for success. Disposable soft
contact lenses are now available for spherical,
astigmatic or presbyopic patients; whether you want an
occasional lens wear option or for everyday.
Dr. Cutler will take the extra steps to make sure
monovision fittings or rigid gas permeable fine tunings
produce your ultimate visual acuity. She enjoys the
challenge of a previously unsuccessful contact lens
wearer.
Dr. Cutler earned her Bachelor of Science degree from
S.U.N.Y. at Albany. After receiving a doctorate degree
for S.U.N.Y. College of Optometry, she continued her
education by expanding her license to include the use of
diagnostic and therapeutic drugs. Being a therapeutic
optometrist allows her to evaluate eye health via a
dilated exam to screen for conditions such as cataracts,
macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes and
hypertension. Also addressed during the exam are
functional issues such as eye strain and headaches
commonly associated with working on the computer. She
takes pride in the fact that many of New York finest
ophthalmologists refer their contact lens patients to
her.
Let Dr. Cutler help you view the world in a whole new
way. |
